Though the stay dragged and lulled in the mid section, it ended no less than epic.

The car, of course, made its quota about six miles outside Marshall, TX, when the main pulley came off and I coasted to a halt. I had a choice of where to walk, and I chose wisely. The guy behind the door pretty much answered with: "You want a beer?". Not being a man of refusal, I took that shit and had at it while placing the ever-important call to the Troll (2-3 hours away).

Now, I was weary upon approach when I heard some real strange ambient noise about the porch area. That noise, after the most generous offer, built to some nice dance mix. This led him to the question: "You like techno?". Do I? I say: "I am somewhat of a mixing man myself...". The luck. Of all the places in all the times, what are the odds of meeting this guy, Keith. We hit it off on everything as he dragged out the 12 packs. Three hours, several pints of relief in his bushes, and a mound of great conversation later, The Troll arrives.

Cool Keith and I exchange CD's and whatnot, while we assess the Storm situation. With the tow strap secure(?), and The Troll at the wheel, we bid Cool Keith and his beer farewell and embark on the hairiest tow-adventure I've ever experienced.

Riding with the troll is one thing, being towed 4 feet behind him for three hours at 70+ mph is another. That pretty much hits that nail, and touches on the "if you weren't there" situation. Anyway, I was nodding, he was speeding; so my front end and his back bumper remain a bit more biffed. It was wild.

Safely tucked under the bridge, I get the car rigged, and partake in two joyous days of stoke and change-diggin' for beer dough. Yeah.

And that's just the last two days.

The DEAL

OK thats cool,

Saturday is jordans birthday dinner we are going to outback steakhouse in the late afternoon so if you call me i might be busy at that moment but the house should be unlocked if you want to unpack just give me a call when you are close.

ALSO sunday night i will be in indy for a show but other than that everything should be ok although i couldnt get vacation for that week but a few occurences wont hurt either i will probably have to work on monday or at least one day of the week so i only get two occurences so yeah

The Plan:

I'm heading out tomorrow afternoon. I'm gonna stop at the Trolls base and hang out for the night, then leave again for Louisville in the m.... the next day. Cars packed and so's the footy master(Yes, footage DVD). I'll call someone Saturday to let you know when I should arrive, and where we'll meet up.

All this Camera Business..

I called the repair people today and received a quote that was way off of my original expectation.

Damn, I say. I'm having that piece sent back, and I don't know what the hell I'm gonna do with it. It makes a bulky paperweight.

On the upside, I got my car registered, inspected, and tuned-up. I even put in a real radio!

I think I may be heading out Saturday. Where am I staying?

Louisville: Updates

I'm gonna take care of all that camera business this week, as well as: tune-up the car and get the rest of my shit together. With any luck, I'll be outta here next weekend.

Brandon: You still going to climb with Jordan? If so, see if I'm welcome to go. Maybe Tim will get in on the action too.

Spring break dates

That's cool. Our spring break is the 14-18 though and I know that I have that week scheduled off for work( at least I think I do). If nothing else maybe they would let you change the shipping location that the camera is being sent to???

Louisville:

Not sure on the dates yet, I haven't received arrival confirmation for the camera. If it comes down to it, I'll make magic happen. I would like to get there before the 17th though. I want to catch your spring break dates, so we can get shit done. I'll have a better idea of exacts soon.

I may just end up bringing my tower with me. I've got shit on tape I can't put down until I have an operable camera. We'll see how that goes.

When do you think your camera will get back from sony and when do you plan on being in louisville so vacation days can be set or occurences from work can be planned for
